Parenting Forward… Empowering teen parents with the knowledge and skills to succeed!

Gift of Life’s Parenting Forward Program gives teen moms and dads enrolled in Montgomery middle and high schools the education, support and connection to community resources that they need to become an effective parent and plan for a successful future.

Parenting Forward is a voluntary program offered at no cost to students. We use the evidenced-based Parents As Teachers and 24/7 Dad curriculums in both individual and group sessions. Parenting Forward offers:

  • Monthly group parenting classes offered at the school or the community led by a certified parent educator

  • The option to receive services in your home

  • Individual sessions

  • Connection to area health, pregnancy and parenting resources for you and your baby

  • Help with goal setting, building life skills and planning for the future
